Is betting with an international bookie by using a VPN a good idea?

Using a VPN is very easy. A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, is software that allows you to scramble your IP address so that hosting sites don’t know the location from which you’re connecting. They won’t know where you’re located, so it’s impossible to have your access refused! That means you can bet with a .com bookmaker from anywhere!

How a VPN works for sports betting

Let’s take a concrete example. In the United States, young people don’t have access to alcohol before they’ve reached 21 years of age. If the goal is being able to drink alcohol, then young people will have to move to France where they can start drinking as soon as they turn 18, or Russia where they can drink at 14 or any other state where legislation has not yet been created. Like an airplane ticket that will bring young people to whatever they’re looking for, a VPN will transport you to any country you choose, provided it has unrestricted access to the site that interests you. And it can all be done without leaving the comfort of your home.

Whether you’re betting with a free VPN or not, there’s one important thing to note, however: your information is sent abroad, then to the bookmaker who consequently send it abroad again before finally revealing what you’re looking for. So, on one hand, your internet traffic and thus your connection may be slowed down but the VPN will no longer scramble any of your data; its only function is to immaterially shift your connection point. For the purposes of withdrawing your money from any bookmaker, you’ll therefore need to use a broker.

Using both a VPN and a broker

They’ll be able to withdraw money for you when a VPN fails to do the trick. It doesn’t matter where your money is going, if the final destination is USA, some bookmakers may refuse to pay out. A broker, on the other hand, will claim the money themselves and then pay you back. That way, the bookmaker won’t be able to track you and so there won’t be any further obstacles to getting your money. So a VPN will work very efficiently when you combine it with a broker to reclaim your winnings.

Set up your VPN, choose the country from which you want to connect (there are other articles that can help you choose the best countries but you can connect, for example, from Australia, Japan, The Antilles and more) then get yourself a broker who will register for you with one or several bookmakers of your choice with whom they’re partnered. It’s as simple as that!
