Protect yourself for free with a VPN for betting

VPNs, which didn’t exist just a few years ago, have quickly become indispensable ever since. They give users genuine freedom on the internet! While they were originally designed to protect your personal information, including protecting government watchdogs who ensure that some risky sites are reprimanded, they are now available and accessible to everyone; some of them are free, some charge a fee. So then what’s the difference between these VPNs for sports betting?

How a VPN works

First of all, remember that a VPN works using expatriated servers, which act as a relay to your connection. As a result of these relays, scattered around world, the hosting site won’t know from where you’re connecting. Connecting, therefore, occurs in two stages :

  • The first is from your home to the relay,
  • then from the relay to the hosting site.

This can quickly cause some rather unpleasant delays and crashes. If you’re in China and you’re using a VPN to visit sites like Facebook and YouTube because they’re prohibited in that country, that won’t really be a problem, apart from the downloading time which can sometimes be long.

In terms of speed and downloading, using most free VPNs will feel like going back to the early 2000s when AOL was number 1 and when you could still hear the modem connecting. Therefore don’t be in too much of a hurry. However, if you’re using a VPN to take part in circle games, be careful! The server’s repeated micro disconnections may sometimes throw you off the site unexpectedly and cause you to lose your winnings.

Networked computers

Why use paid VPNs?

With respect to paid VPNs, they will keep a better connection on average. The problem being that a VPN that is too well known has more chance of getting shut down; the most reliable ones change all the time. The safest ones right now, and the fastest, are still Nord VPN and Express VPN.

Since they are not specially known for sports betting, you’ll be able to conceal your activities all the more comfortably. Hide my ass is also considered being one of the best VPNs for sports betting. Although they’re not the least expensive ones they are, however, the least likely to give users any problems. They have little risk of getting shut down as a result of their lobbying efforts and are still very much in business.
